What
are the body's seven channels of elimination?
1. Lungs - The lungs
expel toxins and waster products such as carbon dioxide
with each exhale. Muscular contractions involved in
breathing help to move the blood and lymph vessels,
which also contain toxins. The Chinese have been using
tai chi and qigong to cleanse the body.
2. Liver - The liver
is the chief detoxification channel in the body. The
added toxic burden from external toxins leads to symptoms
such as chronic fatigue, high cholesterol, irritability,
irritable bowel syndrome, cognitive difficulties and
high blood pressure.
3. Colon - The colon
is the final place holding cell for food and other waste
material before it leaves the body. Elimination must
occur daily.
4. Kidneys - The
kidneys filter water soluble wastes from liver. The
waste is then stored in the bladder before elimination
through urine.
5. Skin - The skin
is a protective covering that keeps toxins from entering
the body. Due to its size, the skin is the body's largest
organ and actually eliminates more cellular waste than
both the colon and kidneys combined.
6. Blood - The blood
is the key transportation system or pipeline through
the body moving distributing nutrients and helping to
flush toxins and waste.
7. Lymph - The lymph
is a clear fluid filled with immune cells or lymphocytes
that run parallel to veins. The lymph delivers nutrients,
moves cellular waste and helps to destroy pathogens.
