RECOMMENDED USE:

For the relief of heartburn due to backward flow of stomach acid/stomach acid reflux.

DOSAGE FORM:

Chewable tablet

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Chew 2 to 4 tablets after meals or at bedtime. Maximum daily dose: 16 tablets. Do not swallow tablet whole.

The combination of magnesium carbonate and alginic acid has been used in over-the-counter antacid formulas for many years. Since heartburn and acid reflux begin in the digestive system, Nature’s Harmony® Heartburn Relief works in the stomach to alleviate symptoms during the day or evening.

Do not use if pregnant, nursing, or after recent surgery. Keep out of reach of children.

RESEARCH:

Alginic acid has been used for heartburn and acid reflux for decades. Numerous studies have demonstrated that alginate-based compounds effectively provide physical barriers to acidic gastric contents and can thus significantly reduce reflux episodes.

SIDE EFFECTS:

Nature’s Harmony® Heartburn Relief is mild but, in some cases, may cause nausea, vomiting, belching or flatulence. If side effects occur, discontinue use.

INTERACTIONS AND SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS:

Nature’s Harmony® Heartburn Relief can interfere with the absorption of iron, tetracycline and phosphate. It may also alter the rate and/or extent of absorption of other oral medications if taken at the same time. Use with caution during pregnancy.

Do not take for more than two weeks or if symptoms recur unless directed by a health care practitioner. Do not take within two hours of another oral medicine because the effectiveness of the other medicine may be altered. If you have kidney disease and/or liver dysfunction, consult your health care practitioner before use.
